The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) was initiated to receive focused feedback from parents concerning the policy and procedures that support the operations of the school. The group meets monthly with the School Director to discuss various issues that arise over the school year. In addition to providing advice, the parents’ group takes the lead in special projects that take place; these projects are designed to serve as community-building activities in the school. Examples of projects include food and clothing drives, supporting local charity drives, book fairs, game days and sports events. Often these events find parents partnering with school seniors to jointly plan and deliver various activities in the school.

DAIS values parental involvement and views that the partnership strengthens relationships, communication and mutual understanding between parents, staff and the administration.
